I was asked to help in the redesign of the Emma Bridgewater website as they were migrating over to Shopify 2.0. The old site was very outdated. I felt it was very blocky, very grey and the coral accent colour didn't really match the premium vibe all the other assets I was working on were adopting. We wanted to strip the site back by mimicking the colour palette of Toast which is part of their core collection. Making the only core colours off black and cream gave the bright imagery room to breathe and not feel like it was competing with anything. Making the image blocks more rectangle than square made the site feel more premium. And by adding video I feel this really demonstrates the life and soul of the factory. My favourite section of the whole site is the step by step videos showing the process of how the products are made.
